A long time ago...
Television was a different animal in so many ways. At that time, before the internet...hell, before cable had invaded every home in the cities... back when satellite TV meant having a monstrous "C" dish in your backyard (no yard, no satellite) and Charles Kuralt was one of the greatest story tellers in the land, his program (CBS Sunday Morning with...) was followed in the Washington, DC "market" by somewhat of a doppelganger: "Capital Edition". We reported human interest, off-the-beaten-track and mostly positive tales from North Carolina to Pennsylvania (strayed once as far as Alaska) and many in our Nation's Capital. But most of the people, places and events could have been anywhere USA. As the spirit moves me, I plan to post some of those old "Cap Ed" stories here. If you are too young to LEGALLY drink alcohol, you weren't born when these stories were first broadcast. ADDENDUM: The videos have vanished and as of 7-14-14 I have failed to find the energy to upload them again. I'm looking for the energy. It's around here, somewhere.
